Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I sent over 15 emails with no proper reply. I paid my debt and simply asked for confirmation of payment so I can cancel my CCJ, yet they completely ignored me. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of time. Dealing with them is a night mare !!! Or better said traying to get a response.

We used this firm by recommendation from Taylor Wimpey for the residential converyancing for our new property, this was back in 2021. Since then we've had numerous letters from the Land Registry as documents were not filed according to deadlines which has resulted in us being fined and debt collection proceedings started. We have contacted the firm multiple times to no avail and will be taking further action.

They Contacted me regarding an outstanding debt which they claim is owed to Europe car.
I knew nothing about any outstanding money owed and wasnt aware until I recieved the letter from Shakespeare Martineau as nobody from europecar has been in contact and the station manager has my direct phone number.
Yet Shakespeare Martineau stated
In the letter I recieved that Europe car has made numerous attempts to contact me, when in fact nobody has and I'm still waiting on this proof of contact.
Shakespeare martineau stated that there was a technical banking issue, but there was no banking issues so not sure why they making false allegations.
The original issue was that europcar decided to take a fraudulent payment from a credit card which they had on file and my bank investigated and recalled the payment after i providing them with all the evidence that i had.
Europcar sent no invoice or stated what the payment was for.
I have emailed Shakespeare martineau twice now to request that they provide further evidence of the contact that i supposedly recieved and to provide information what the actual debt is for.
I am yet to receive any response from Shakespeare Martineau and curios to know why they are now chasing a fraudulent payment when the issue was dealt with back in March/April time
Here's my email address below;

Hopefully you can now manage to locate the emails I have sent and respond accordingly. But going by your other previous reviews you'll probably just wait it out to try and bump up the costs and respond by giving me your email address which is the one that I have already been trying to contact on.

I have previously had very good service from Shakespeare’s in the good old days when you could ring the office of your choice, speak to the solicitor who would deal with your issue, make an appointment and that was that.
Not so now. They now have a centralised reception who supposedly sends an email through to the appropriate solicitor. That’s when it all goes wrong. I rang 24 hours ago and was promised a call back. Rang again and once again was told there was nobody available to speak to me, but someone would contact me. When I complained I was told they were all busy. Too busy to speak to a client. I had exactly the same problem last year when I tried to make contact. Getting a bit too big methinks!

Similar experience to others. Sent me a letter before claim for late filing, I paid it the day I got the letter. Next thing, i get notification that I owe court costs, despite already paying the amount due, before the court date. They won't reply to my emails and threatened me with a ccj. This can't be legal, it's extortion
