Myself and my brothers contacted Thompsons Solicitors after our mother was diagnosed with Mesothelioma. I can honestly say that they could not do enough for us, especially Nicholas Seymour who went above and beyond. The team worked tirelessly and always their clients best interests first. They were reliable, experienced and professional, and their advice and non-hurried approach resulted in a very satisfactory conclusion. I found Thompsons to be slow and very unorganised when dealing with my claim.
I only used them as I had to due to Union and an at work injury.
What should have taken a few months ended up being ignored for a year and then passed from pillar to post to in the end taking about 2½ years.
Service received was shocking to be quite truthful and it was all dealt with in the final 6 months even though the people I had my claim against admitted full liability on the day after my accident.
2 years into claim I was told I has been misinformed and if I wanted to disagree with anypart of my claim I would have to start ghe whole process again.
So I just agreed to let it all go and settle for there version.
Would I ever recommend Thompsons,
I can honestly say NO I wouldn't as they just don't seem to be bothered anymore.

I have dealt with Thompsons solicitors with regards to my redundancy various times over the years via the Union. In the past, their service has always been very good, if a bit slow. This time, however, they have not contacted me in time and aren't answering their phone, meaning I had to find a different solicitor at extremely short notice. I think other reviewers are right, Union members are not getting a good service any more.
