Tried 3 times to get hold of someone the phone just rang and then cut off. Time 16:55 15th May. Not a good start when you are looking to appoint a solicitor to act for your business.

So very disappointed, my folks are now both deceased, expected so much more.
Trying to sort the family estate. Dad’s Will is lodged with these guys.
Initial contact was great and handled so professionally and well from the Sandbach office.
Unfortunately the ‘new enquiries’ team were all at lunch, so I had to wait for a call back.
Lola called me, listened then checked and confirmed that my folks wills are held in their records, saying I could arrange 1hour, no fee discussion to understand options for probate, followed up with an email siting engagement for a commitment of £670.00 plus VAT.
Challenged this via email on receipt, received a call next day from Lola stressing it was a ‘system error’ and no charge required.
Visited local office today, met with Daisy, conversed, saw original will, talked options.
Seems if I go down simple DIY probate route, £60 to obtain my Dads will.
No records of house deeds, unless I engage them to investigate.
I’m bereaved, never done this before and trying to find my way.
Frustrated, upset and sorting a funeral…
Buyer beware.

Absolutely shocking service!
These are my buyers solicitor and have caused no end of problems.
Chain free, empty property has been ongoing for 5 months due to the sheer incompetence of this firm with still no exchange or completion date.
After lots of chasing from my solicitor, the estate agent, the buyer and 10 weeks from receiving contract pack, they raised enquiries. These were sent back the same day and all standard enquiries. This was the first day of September. It's now mid October and I am now pulling out this week as the seller as we have continued to chase and been assured after 2 weeks they were preparing a final report. 6 weeks later and today the buyers solicitor, Emily, had only said she will begrudgingly look at enquiries today!!
I would not instruct this firm at all, they lack basic communication and the ombudsman is now our next step for poor service and inability to do their job.
They have stalled at every opportunity

The level of support and understanding from the team was incredible. They made sure I understood the process. The level of communication was outstanding, they were happy to explain any queries I had at any point along the way.
