PARTRIDGE ALLEN (INCORPORATING DUNN & CO)

Absolutely shocking ! Multiple missed deadlines and commitments despite many chases. Awful communication and multiple promises for updates broken. Would rate zero if possible.

I recently engaged Partridge Allen’s services for transferring ownership of a property, and I can’t speak highly enough of their service and support. From the start everything was made perfectly clear and any questions that I had throughout were responded to very promptly. Particular thanks goes to conveyancing assistant Beth, who was tremendously helpful from start to finish.

Second time using Partridge Allen and as before, they were extremely professional and helpful during the sale/purchase of our property.
Nothing was too much trouble for Danielle who I feel went above and beyond.
Mr Hindmarsh was a complete professional at all times and if it wasn’t the their hard work and effort I’m sure the sale would have fallen through due to our buyers using a dreadful online solicitor.
5 stars all the way, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use Partridge Allen again.

I emailed with an enquiry regarding a quote for conveyancing of a land sale, to which they responded asking for my phone number so that one of the conveyancers could call me to discuss it in more detail. Two working days later I’m still waiting for a call. Needless to say I will not be following up my initial enquiry because if they can’t even be bothered to call back in a timely manner to sell their services, what are the timeframes likely to be for any actual work to be undertaken? A very poor performance.

1 star is too generous. Regrettably I have used this solicitors to sell my deceased father’s apartment. If I had known what they were like I would have not instructed them to act on my behalf. They are the worst solicitors that I have ever dealt with. Adrian Hindmarsh is an extremely rude individual who lacks any modicum of customer skills.

They never provide any updates, if they do it is one line answers. You constantly have to chase them and when you do get a reply, it’s of no use as its one line or even worse one word. No value, no information.

On our one and only visit to the office to sign relevant paperwork, Adrian didn’t even have our correct file to hand. He had two files which he started to go through and each time we had to tell him they weren’t ours. So he had to go any find ours. When we mentioned some information surrounding the property he had no idea and just said he may have seen something about that. He lacked professionalism in his approach, not having the correct files to hand and his attire did not depict someone who was professional as his shirt was heavily creased and ripped.

During this lengthy selling process, I have had to chase the management company, as the solicitors seemed incapable of doing so. I had more information provided and on a regular basis from the estate agents than my own solicitor.

When I emailed Adrian to try and get an update, explaining the disappointment/dissatisfaction of not getting any updates and I expressed how the entire chain was feeling due to the length of time it is taking. What I got astounded me, a rude phone call from Adrian telling me not to send long emails as they are not helpful. This he kept repeating during the call, not allowing me to speak. No apology that I needed to send the email or for the delay, no explanation just a telling off from the solicitor that I am paying!

It says a lot when you get a thank you for all your help from the buyer’s solicitor, as you are doing more to get this sale through the process than your own solicitor.

Thankfully the sale has now been completed but no thanks to Partridge Allen as they did very little. Adrian Hindmarsh is shoddy, scruffy, incompetent solicitor, who has no idea of how to deal with clients and should never practise as a solicitor.
