I know how busy Fridays are in the conveyancy system and yet Bethany you were a real trooper, you would always take my calls and if you promised to get back to me with an answer, you always did. Thank you Beth, nothing seemed too much trouble. I appreciate all you did.

We have had to begin moving the handling of my uncle's estate away from Richard French to another law firm in order to have the work completed. My uncle died over 18 months ago and his affairs are still yet to be settled. This is causing hardship to the beneficiaries and is extremely frustrating.

We have emailed Richard more than 10 ten times over the last month and called multiple times without a response or even an acknowledgement of our email. All we want is to finalise the process. Throughout the 18 months we have found the communication from Richard slow and have wondered multiple times what was happening. It is not at all what you expect.

We used Burtons Solicitors for our Sale and Purchase of our home. Both Patricia and Bethany were exceptional - helpful and responsive throughout the process. They were a pleasure to work with and I'll certainly use them again in future.

Despite giving enough information on my initial enquiry for the solicitors to understand that my case was quite complicated, those assigned to it failed to understand the circumstances. This resulted in the solicitor not turning up for the appointment and having a secretary attend in her stead. I gave the secretary, more or less, the same information as I had previously, forwarded some documents by email and requested to rebook the appointment with the solicitor, however, after waiting a week received no response. I sent an email to the secretary asking for an appointment, however, received no response, until several days later I received a request for legal aid documents, no mention of an appointment or reference at all to my previous email. I responded to this with an explanation of why this might not be a legal aid case and again requested an appointment to discuss it with a solicitor, no response. I called them and spoke to another secretary who became unpleasant to talk to once I'd expressed my concerns about my case and have received not contact from them since. A lot of wasted time and lost income for an unprofessional un-service.

I suspect they make their bread and butter with legal aid and anyone who does not fit their window becomes a non-person.

Added after Burtons "Quality" solicitors response.

Despite Burtons claiming that they received no response to their email, they in fact received several emails along with several phone calls, to which, no response or return call was received.

It appears that the only way for us to get a response from Burtons "Quality" solicitors, was to pen this review, unfortunately I highly suspect that the response was for review readers benefit, not ours!

I'm gutted that I wrote a positive feedback and neglected to post. 🤦
This solicitors was recommended by a local charity for their due diligence, I'm forever in their debt that the young lady addressed on my behalf, extremely professional and understanding of my dilemma. Without the assistance of this company I'm not so sure that I would have my place in this world today.
