Davisons Law in Stow-on-the-Wold was my chosen solicitor for my recent house sale, and I couldn’t be happier with how they handled everything.
I was regularly updated throughout the entire process (from October to March completion). The legal steps were clearly explained through documentation and emails, and members of the team were always quick to respond to my calls and queries.
After a bad experience with another firm some years ago, I initially expected a slow and frustrating process. However, Davisons demonstrated impressive speed and efficiency from the outset. They issued draft contracts early, proactively chased both myself and the buyer for required information, and ensured everything progressed as quickly as possible.
They were recommended by my estate agent, and I can certainly see why. I had been particularly concerned about the time it might take to obtain Land Registry information, as this can sometimes take months, and I was prepared for significant delays. In the end, I needn’t have worried—it was clear that Davisons are highly experienced in handling property law matters.
Costs were another concern, but they were transparent from the beginning about their fees and any potential additional charges. Due to my circumstances, much of the documentation needed to be signed digitally via portals and e-signing tools, and I’m very glad this option was available. Even if it comes at a small additional cost, I would highly recommend it for the convenience it offers.
As Davisons was recommended by my estate agent, it was clear they had a strong working relationship. This ensured that everyone stayed aligned and worked efficiently together, which I believe helped to speed up the process even further.
