We’ve just exchanged the sale of our home after a long and complex process, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had Tom Bowering at Wards acting for us.
Tom was outstanding throughout — diligent, professional, and clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. He handled every stage of the transaction with real care and attention to detail, and we always felt completely confident that everything was being managed properly.
What really stood out, though, was the way Tom worked with us. He is calm, thoughtful, diplomatic and always respectful, even during some of the more challenging moments in the chain. He communicated clearly and honestly throughout, and was always timely in his updates, so we never felt in the dark. It was clear he was consistently working behind the scenes to keep things progressing.
A special mention also to Emma Walker in Tom’s team, who was a superstar throughout — always professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful.
On a personal note, Tom is just a thoroughly good egg — approachable, reassuring, and a real pleasure to deal with. He is a genuine credit to both his profession and to Wards.
We’re extremely grateful for everything he and his team did to get us over the line and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Very disappointed with my experience. I booked an appointment specifically to see a notary and clearly explained my requirements when speaking to the receptionist, Kate. However, upon arrival, Ruth was extremely rude and insisted that I had not requested a notary, which is simply not true.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but instead of acknowledging the error, I felt that the situation was handled poorly and that I was unfairly blamed. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was very disappointing.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this service based on my experience.

I've just completed a property sale with Tom and his team. Great experience and despite a few bumps in the road (a leak discovered a couple of days out from completion) he helped manage this, and die a brilliant job communicating with me and the other side. Would thoroughly recommend Tom to anyone.
