Needed some paperwork signing but they were unable to do the work.
The receptionist gave me some helpful information of where I could get it done online. She was friendly and helpful.

I recently completed what should have been a relatively straightforward property transaction (with no onward chain) but the process was prolonged for over six months and marred by repeated issues. Most concerning was receiving an updated invoice after I had already paid, due to charges being missed initially. This points to a lack of due diligence that was unfortunately consistent throughout.
Our appointed solicitor, Heidi, was excellent — supportive, and clearly very capable. However, getting direct access to her was a persistent challenge, and our case was frequently passed between team members. At one point, delays nearly caused us to lose the flat altogether due to inaction on Wards' part.
Even during the final signing at the office, the experience was disappointing: paperwork contained errors, and the staff member assisting us openly admitted to being "useless."
What should have been a celebratory moment instead felt frustrating and poorly handled. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with someone at Partner level to understand how these issues will be addressed for future clients.

We used Ward's conveyancing services, specifically with Helen Walker. Helen and the team were incredible - professional, proactive and always kept us informed and updated. They were on top of everything, and any email we sent would be responded to promptly. Tom Bowering helped us with our sale and purchase and was absolutely brilliant. The house we were buying was a bit out of the ordinary (listed former HMO, regulated tenancy, old leasehold..) but Tom was extremely thorough and gave us full confidence that the main considerations were addressed and relevant indemnities obtained. He also maintained excellent communication throughout and was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Tom Bowering was everything you could want a solicitor to be; professional, friendly, empathetic and skilled. He made the sale of my house after a divorce as painless as possible, and took care to make sure I was kept up to date and as informed as possible.
