WILKIN CHAPMAN LLP

This is the longest review and first negative one I have ever written but it’s a warning at at time of loss with so much to do please make sure to rely on companies who know how to accurately provide what is required for probate.

It cost me £600 to get my mums original will released for probate from the solicitor. "In order to release the wIll we will require that the attached PA14 form to be completed by a medical professional" I then set about trying to obtain the completed PA14 for my sister from doctors and care home when that was not possible I returned and ask Wilkin Chapman Rollits to assist in obtaining a completed PA14 form. Email from them 18th Dec talking about instructing a person says "this is on the basis that we would obtain the PA14". I signed the Terms of business, in the client care letter which states "to undertake a capacity assessment on your sister and co-executor Suzanne, to complete the PA14 form". This to me means I get the will and a completed PA14 form to send to probate. Well it was incorrect basically I then paid about £400 to have the person recommend by the solicitor to write the PA14 form but they were not qualified according to the HMRC list so it was rejected. Since then I have had to find a company Nova Care who only works with registered professionals and pay again to get a completed PA14 form and sent it to HMRC this company was so quick did it in 10 days and very good customer relations.

This company is currently acting on behalf of our sellers regarding a property. They are holding up the whole chain with their lack of communication and enquiries unanswered after weeks. Our solicitors are recieving zero updates from this company after trying to contact them via email and telephone calls. If you are looking for a solicitor that keeps you updated, answers questions quickly and is easy to contact, do not use this company
