An agreement was put in place to receive a sum of money once our house purchase had gone through to replace an old boiler the owners refused to change, we never received that money. It appears all they cared about was getting the purchase over the line. The boiler has now broken leading up to winter, we are without the agreed sum of money and are having to find the money ourselves to replace it.

Excellent service once again. Used a number of times and every time, cases have been handled thoughtfully, intelligently and with full and frank discussion. Can not praise highly enough. Have used 3 other firm locally and Porter Dodson are head and shoulders above the rest.

Unfortunately I was recommended by partner for these solicitors...purchase of council house. Very poor communication solicitor was unable for some reason to communicate with me in person. Solicitor went off sick...was then told different things by one that stood in for her.....their differences cost me a long delay and it was only that I pursued it due to me being served a statutory notice from council to get sale completed within a certain amount of days that it got completed. It caused a lot of stress and anxiety.....even at finish I was informed by council it had gone through and not solicitors. Would never use them again..felt they wanted fees rather than give a good service. This is my honest opinion...there are a lot better solicitors out there I'm sure.....

Absolutely shocking service, was told lies and have had my family insulted by there solicitors. All round terrible service and didn’t care as long as you paid. Poor communication, solicitor retired 2 days before court without giving me prior knowledge.Dragged out my case as long as they could milk it for. Just an all round shambles. Avoid this firm like the plague. If I could give no stars I would.
Regarding your reply, you are correct although the independent ombudsman did say it was badly handled with your solicitor retiring just before a court date and not informing the client.
As there was no written proof about the insults regarding my profession and my mothers cancer treatment they couldn’t action it.
As a company you should be ashamed that it got this far, I only wanted an apology. You chose to lie.
Let your future customers make there own mind up.

Exceeded the top end estimate provided for dealing with my mother’s estate by 50% with no warning and no recourse - I have simply been forced to pay. Poor communication, passage of information and attention to detail. Made a traumatic time worse - I would not recommend or use again.
