Shockingly poor service.
While the firm seems busy sponsoring events and opening additional offices, basic client communication appears to have been overlooked. I was asked whether I wanted the Basingstoke or Farnborough office, as if that was the important issue. I simply wanted my legal matter dealt with promptly.
After waiting several days without a call or email, I was eventually told the notary was in South Africa and wouldn't be available for a month. It would have been far more helpful to tell me that at the outset rather than after the delay. (For the record, I didn't feel them I was on a home bargains sun lounger in Buckskin)
I contacted another firm instead. They called me back (with the hour), booked me in, and completed the work the very same day. Since then, I've spent over £6,000 with that firm over the last seven months.
When it comes to looking after clients and winning repeat business, the difference between the two firms couldn't have been clearer.
It turns out prompt communication is a far better business development strategy than opening another office.

Simone Horrobin has, as ever, been immensely helpful and supportive with her recent advice and been a pleasure to work with. She has provided timely and practical advice to help us achieve a desirable outcome. I would highly recommend.

I instructed Phillips Law to pursue an unpaid commission claim. What followed was a frustrating and costly experience that left me worse off than when I started.
They were slow throughout and came across as full of themselves. At no point did I feel they actually had my back. The overriding impression I was left with is that this is a firm that makes more from charging unfairly than from winning cases for its clients.
They prepared a Letter of Claim and charged me around £3,000 for it. The work was full of errors. Typos, an incorrect interest calculation they later apologised for and basic mistakes I had to catch and correct myself.
I had told them my company had been struck off. I later clarified it was compulsorily struck off following a change of address. This is exactly the kind of thing a firm doing proper due diligence should pick up through standard company checks at the outset. Instead they missed it, then blamed me for not giving them the right information, despite charging me for the very due diligence they failed to do.
When I questioned the invoice and asked to be moved to someone more capable, they did not address my concerns or fix the work. They simply decided they no longer wanted to act for me and told me to find another firm.
They also accused me of sending AI generated instructions. The irony is that their own replies to my emails appeared to be AI generated. One standard for the client, another for the firm.
The final straw. We had specifically agreed they would not contact the other side. Despite that, they wrote to them anyway without telling me, on a live matter.
Slow, complacent, error ridden and quick to walk away the moment I held them accountable, all while charging me £3,000. I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere.

We move into our forever home today and wish to thank Symone so much for all of her hard work in getting us to this point. We had used Symone for our previous purchase/sale too so we knew we were in good hands, despite now living several counties away and having never met in person. Symone is very down to earth and is a credit to the company. Thank you so much Symone!

We recently used Philips law for the conveyancing process as first time buyers. The price was very reasonable, and the service throughout was professional, prompt and thorough.
Symone was extremely helpful, and guided us through a unfamiliar process, managing to get us in within 4 months of having our offer accepted. We had a pretty strict deadline as our landlord was selling the house, so we cannot thank her enough for all her hard work!
I can find no faults in the way our purchase was handled, and she did a great job at chasing updates while we were out of the country. Cannot recommend her enough! Thank you!
