I sold my property with them although Hannays themselves were quite good. My estate agent Robinsons and eventually the auction Iam sold not so . Gavin was my contact person he was respectful and quick to reply. The process took forever thanks to the other parties. Would I use Hannays again “yes”. Buying up north and using Robinsons & Iam sold never again. As properties up north have bad returns mostly and many problems especially terraces such as mining and subsidence. We spent a fortune as we didn’t see the house before buying as we are far and took our first gamble also done lot of work ourselves. Therefore a huge loss as we didn’t want to rent and a bit of inexperience but let down by many people.

I'd give zero stars if it was possible. Absolute shambles of a company. Their lack of professionalism is astounding! I was not a direct client but have been seriously affected by their incompetence to the point of being technically homeless for over 6 weeks. They agree dates for completion & don't adhere to them & wouldn't respond to emails for over a week every time they were contacted & wouldn't take calls from anyone in the housing chain, not even their own client! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Absolutely DO NOT USE Gavin Coates from this firm. He kept important paperwork on his desk for over a week when time was of the essence! He told us we needed adverse possession which would take 2 months minimum, which we didn’t have that time so nearly lost our sale and future home, we took the risk and proceeded and it was only an updated boundary which took 10 days, but if we’d took his word we would have pulled out. He was extremely passive aggressive, his tone when speaking to you was off , not professional at all . A very arrogant man .
