Yet another remarkably unimpressive legal firm. The woman I dealt with some time ago on a Conveyancing matter was extremely slow, time-wasting, unable to answer a direct question (a common problem, it seems), was far, far too busy to deal with my matter - when she wasn't regularly off sick or on holiday - and was so utterly obsessed with selling me a Japanese Knotweed inspection - even though it was evident there wasn't any - that I felt compelled to ask if she was a shareholder in a Knotweed inspection company. The matter did complete eventually after many, many months. The individual concerned has since left and a complaint over her handling of my case, including a post-completion matter which she had overlooked and which her colleagues had no interest in dealing with, was resolved. That said, my experience with Solicitors these days never seems to be anything other than expensive and extremely disappointing and this was no exception. No more the old fashioned, top-notch professional who took your side, protected your interests and fought for the best outcome - very sadly, such people are as extinct as the Dodo. In their place we have an industry peppered with pushy sales individuals who shunt paper between opposing clients, asking for comments and hoping desperately they don't make any while watching their "units" click round.. Sad. Very sad indeed.

Footner & Ewing have recently supported me with a house sale and purchase - I highly highly recommend them. It was an extremely challenging process with a completion delayed by two days because of complications at the bottom of the chain. F&E were there when we needed them.
Wendy was our contact and at such an incredibly stressful time she made herself completely available to support us. Wendy was fantastic at communication and updating us as things moved and was calm and collected throughout the highly frustrating process.
But even before the move itself Naomi was our contact for completing forms, collecting documentation, and general enquiries. Naomi was extremely helpful and a joy to speak to.
Extremely professional experience and outstanding customer service, would use Footner & Ewing again without a second thought.

Have helped me and my family with various things over the years. Have always offered a free phone call to go over any problems and usually that half hour provides all the advice I need. When we have had to pay for their services it is expensive but is worth every penny and always had a good outcome. Would return and recommend.
Special thanks to Claire who I know is retiring soon so would like to wish her all the best, she has been amazing.

Using a local solicitor was a good choice when selling a property, my buyer used a remote conveyancing company and had trouble making contact. My solicitor was on tap when needed, I could call in to the office to sign documents saving valuable time.

I contacted Nigel Lee at Footner & Ewing about a civil dispute. Nigel was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the initial free advice he gave me. I have kept Nigel's number and will definitely be contacting him and using Footner & Ewing's services in the future! Thank you Nigel.
