I have recently used Star legal for a purchase of my first home in Portishead, my solicitor was Kayleigh Boyce who was nothing short of Excellent. Proactive, knowledgeable and easy going, she made the process effortless and made what was a stressful time as as easy as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again when I decide to sell and I have already referred her to anyone who will listen. Thanks again Kayleigh and her team.

We used Star Legal for both the sale of our property and the purchase of our new home, and we couldn’t recommend them enough. The team was attentive throughout and made the process as smooth as possible, even when delays arose from the sellers’ solicitors. Communication was excellent and we really appreciated the prompt updates and clear guidance at every stage. A huge thank you to Claire, Kayleigh, and Hannah for their hard work and dedication in getting everything over the line. Highly recommended!

I sold my property in 2024 and the buyer of my property used Star Legal Clevedon and they delayed the process on multiple occasions, constantly asked nit-picking questions, wouldn't accept our answers and made us go to multiple parties just to confirm the same information we'd been saying all along. I also had to pay for multiple insurance policies because they wouldn't accept some information we provided which was verified by multiple parties and so should have been acceptable.
There were multiple occasions where they had not followed-up on questions from weeks or months ago, leading us to believe they were happy with everything and we were nearing exchange, only to find out they just hadn't read everything and then more queries followed. There were at least 3 times where this happened where we thought we were days away from exchange only for it to drag on for 2 more months from their eventual follow-up questions. This meant that we communicated 'being close to exchange' to the onward chain, only to find out there were more questions, making us look bad & incompetent and risking our onward purchase. My estate agents were also under the same impression during these instances.
One example was that in an email my solicitor received at the start of October, Star Legal followed up on queries we had responded to in July - it took them over TWO MONTHS to send follow-up questions which is totally unacceptable.
Throughout the whole process they also only ever responded to us when my solicitor or my estate agents chased them, they were never proactive.
Definitely do not recommend Star Legal Clevedon based on my experience as someone who's buyer used them.

Called For help with discrimination matter
I was promised the appropriate solicitor will call back
12 days later, no call back
I called again to highlight their unreliable service and I did not even hear an apology about it, but just the same person I spoke to initially saying “okay okay”? I wouldn’t recommend, even calling them, let alone using their services. They’ll have to work a very, very long way to get to the star level. They dream of calling themselves “ star Legal”. I don’t think so

Fantastic experience, cannot recommend Hannah and her team enough! Our purchase took nearly 6 months to go through, Hannah kept us updated continually, chased the sellers solicitors continuously even when they didn't come back to her, without Hannah and her team we would have given up a long time ago, they helped us keep faith and now we're looking forward to moving into our forever home together. Thank you all very much for your help!!! If you're looking for a solicitor to handle your sale or purchase and want an efficient, straight talking team without the usual solicitor jargon look no further, you wont be disappointed!
