My only experience with this firm is with making a Will using the free wills service. After selecting Redkite, Orme & Slade, I was contacted by Ms Redman, who sent me an online questionnaire, which I duly completed. This was followed up with a face to face at the Ledbury office, resulting in the final form of my will, which they retain in their strong-room. In all correspondence, as with the meeting, Ms Redman and the Receptionist were pleasant and friendly and the advice I was given was excellent. I would not hesitate in choosing them again.

Alison at Red Kite has been my hero! After an amicable separation, there were hitches in trying to separate myself from the shared property. After seeking support from previously used solicitors and numerous others with no response, Alison got back to me exceptionally fast. She advised me 9 months prior to me using the services, and she was not annoyed in having to wait for my agreement. Amazing service.
Alison and her team kept me up to date, and were as keen as I was to get everything wrapped up. The team in the branch were friendly and took note of a differing correspondence address, plus my preferred method to use emails unless it was something to be done then and there.
Today I completed the transfer and Alison called me to confirm I was happy to do so, which resulted in us both laughing as she knew that I had waited a long time fron separation to this day - no delays were as a result of Alison or anyone else at Red Kite. Alison got to know me and my position quickly, then didn't forget anything I had told her. You don't see that very often.
Thank you Alison and everyone else at Red Kite.

I’ll start by prefacing this with Conveyancing is fundamentally pretty broken in this country so wherever you go you’re likely to have a junior / dregs of the legal deal with your sale.
With that being said, Orme & Slade excelled here, they hit new levels of incompetence. Slow, inefficient and a real lack of empathy, character or professionalism. It’s like dealing with A.I, except the robot is little a real life version of little Britain’s classic sketch of “computer says no”. Missed agreed dates, slow almost no -existent communication at pivotal points along the line almost lead to a vendor pulling the sale. If you want to be represented well and have an easy ride, buckle in if you choose these guys.
In hindsight I would’ve seriously considered going with online conveyancing as it seems a lot of solicitors are happier behind a computer or WFH sending emails rather than face to face communication of which you are paying for. Online quotes were around £1000 cheaper and with hindsight I would 100% of taken that route. The times I could’ve done with visiting the office to explain documents or talk things through I was told “just pop in an email” in a dismissive fashion.
Hopefully this helps future buyers and sellers on the housing market searching for a good one, because it’s definitely not with this firm.
