We have consistently been impressed with services provided by Gilbert Stephens. Over the past 8 years, we've used them for conveyancing, licensing/copyright and Wills and have always been met with the same high levels of professionalism, competence, kindness and empathy. Christine is the welcoming, ever-efficient and friendly face of the team, who goes over and above the call of duty to ensure that clients needs are addressed, while Tracie Bowden recently managed to smooth the wrinkles out of a complex and challenging piece of conveyancing, resulting in us now living in our dream home. We thoroughly recommend Gilbert Stephens for a reliably high standard of work.

Do not use if you hope to sell your house quickly!
Gilbert Stephens handled the sale of the property that we bought.
Sixteen weeks into our purchase and it stalled for weeks because GS wouldn’t supply essential paperwork to our solicitors. Not just slow, they actually did not communicate with our solicitor.
They:
Supplied invalid & incomplete paperwork essential to a house sale.
Ignored communication from our solicitor; our solicitor could not obtain responses to her requests.
Misled their clients about progress of the house sale.
In the end, the vendors raised an official complaint to GS about their poor performance, and STILL Gilbert Stephens didn't respond appropriately.
Our solicitor was chasing them up continually, even on exchange day because GS were ignoring her.
I think this firm is shoddy, unprofessional, disrespectful to vendor and purchaser alike, and should be avoided at all costs.
It's not as if they are doing the work for free either.

Gilbert Stephens organised the Sale of 2 Properties of ours in Wolverhampton. They were very professional, supportive and informative at all stages during the Sales process.
