My experience with Wolfe Myers is as a leaseholder in three blocks of flats to which they are the freeholders. The £60 ground rent is a bit exorbitant but this is nothing compared to having to pay around £200 for permission (!) to have new windows put in. Many of the current windows are in poor repair. Then you have to employ one of their recommended companies to have the job done.
The latest and urgent issue where I have to give vent to my feelings is work being done under one of the flats to the pipes and to the drainage. The occupier has been living elsewhere for a month with probably another 5-6 weeks to go. Our maintenance company are having great trouble contacting Wolfe Myers regarding the insurance. Are we even insured - we pay enough each year in buildings insurance! We want to at least see the insurance documents.
This is not a 'rant', these are legitimate concerns.
