I had a very disappointing experience with this firm during one of the most stressful periods of my life. Communication was poor throughout, and I was frequently left unclear about what was happening in my case, often having to chase for basic updates and information.

In particular, the handling of my basis of plea caused significant distress. I provided a full draft more than a month before the hearing, which required only amendment. Despite this, it was not submitted until approximately ten minutes before the hearing. This left me feeling extremely anxious and unsupported at a critical moment.

I was also made to feel uncomfortable for requesting updates about my case. I was described as being “one of the most anxious clients”, despite the fact that two scheduled meetings were cancelled and I was left without clear communication or reassurance. Given the seriousness of the situation, this felt dismissive rather than supportive.

Throughout the preparation of my case, I was repeatedly reassured that a custodial sentence was not anticipated. However, just three days before my final sentencing hearing, I was told for the first time that I should pack a bag in case I was sent to prison. At the same time, I was informed that my barrister might not be able to attend the hearing due to lack of availability and that alternative representation might need to be arranged. Although she did ultimately attend, being told this at such a late stage caused significant distress and left me feeling unprepared and frightened at a critical point.

I do want to note that Claire, the solicitor who initially represented me, was excellent. She was professional, supportive, and reassuring, and the only reason I continued with the subsequent representation was based on her recommendation. Unfortunately, the standard of service I received thereafter did not reflect that initial experience.

Overall, I did not feel adequately supported, prepared, or guided through the process. The lack of timely communication, preparation, and empathy added unnecessary stress to an already traumatic situation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm to anyone needing clear, proactive legal representation in a serious matter.
