I can’t fault Thomas legal on their soliciting skills, they were very thorough and I had full confidence in the reports and correctness of their work. Every person at Thomas legal was very thorough, and always responded quickly to our emails/calls.

There were a few things I thought could be improved given the premium cost they charge. For starters, our case bounced between a few trainee solicitors over the course of 7 months. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but it didn’t give the sense that there was continuity or someone that had been with our case the entire time. It wasn’t until I kicked up a bit of a fuss at the end did Jessica reach out directly. I’m glad she did because she essentially saved our perception. She gave us her opinions on the final report, which is ultimately what gives us peace of mind. But I do wish there were a few “checkpoints” throughout the process of how the experience has been, instead of waiting til I write the review.

There were also a few times our estate agents had ideas for how the soliciting process could be sped up, which I was a bit surprised were not proposed by Thomas legal themselves (like signing paperwork in advance of other bits being ready).

Overall it was a positive experience, and I don’t have anything to compare it to as a first time buyer. They were thorough and I think that’s ultimately what matters. Thanks to Jessica & Jaime for the help.
