I was a buyer in a property transaction where this firm represented the sellers. While the contract ultimately did not exchange for other reasons, the experience of dealing with them from the other side was quite disappointing.

During the process, I had the opportunity to see the correspondence between my legal representative and this firm. I found the tone of their responses to be unhelpful and lacking the professional courtesy you would expect in legal transactions.

I understand that a firm's priority is to protect their own clients—which likely explains their positive reviews from sellers—but this shouldn't come at the expense of basic professionalism and cooperation. The difficult communication from their end created unnecessary friction and added avoidable stress to the process.

Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to deal with transactions involving this firm in the future.

Follow up note:

The firm originally posted a defensive reply to this review, claiming my experience was "significantly out of line with all our recent property related and other reviews" and asserting that they were "not aware of any complaint from anyone acting for you." Once they realized how poor that looked publicly, they deleted it and replaced it with the generic template you see now.

Changing your public response doesn't erase the lack of professionalism your staff displayed behind closed doors. You do not need a case reference to fix the root issue. I saw the written paper trail: your case handler used aggressive phrasing, unprofessional exclamation marks to mock standard enquiries, and openly confused basic legal documentation.

Sanitizing your public response tells future clients everything they need to know about your firm's transparency.
