I attended Stennett Solicitors to seek advice regarding my wife’s and my will, where I met with Debbie. Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling very dissatisfied with the service I received.

During our discussion, I clearly outlined how I wished my estate to be distributed among my family members. However, Debbie repeatedly challenged my decisions and strongly encouraged me to make changes. While I appreciate that professional guidance is part of the process, I felt that my preferences were not respected. Ultimately, decisions about my estate should remain mine.

The manner in which this was handled made me feel patronised and uncomfortable. In matters as personal and sensitive as will-writing, it is essential that clients feel supported rather than pressured into decisions they do not agree with. I am also concerned that others, particularly more vulnerable individuals, may feel similarly pressured in such situations.

As a result of this experience, I chose to finalise my will with another solicitor, where my wishes were respected without unnecessary challenge.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to ensure clients are treated with respect and professionalism in the future.

My wife and I had first meeting with Theo Papadopoulos to enquire whether he would be willing to do a residential property conveyancing for us. I told him about my several years’ experience in building & property business. Theo took up my challenge and explained T&C including fee structure. He explained to us how he works without legal jargons. He was courteous, respectful and relevant to the points. Before leaving his office, I pointed out that I suffer from ‘visual impairment’. His reaction was warm and welcoming. My wife & I concluded the first meeting and decided there and then to appoint him.

Theo was thorough in his work. On two occasions he took buyers solicitor to task by repeatedly insisting for clarification about a couple of matters. One more plus point., he replies to each email message promptly. The completions took place in m October 2025. Theo said his task was completed by sending us original copy of Title Deed and stressed importance of it’s safe keeping. We are fully satisfied with his work.
