I have used Newbys for many years for purchasing and selling of rental property and my own home, and always been very happy with their service. I have had 2 recent sales complete and Sharon made the process as stress free, efficient and fast as possible. Thanks for all your help, support and understanding.

Please take this as a word of warning, Do you research when wanting a conveyancing solicitor. We are switching half way through the process of two sales because Newby's have been, Unprofessional, Irresponsible, and beyond Disappointing. They have not only affected myself and my family members mental and physical health through unnecessary stress. We are informing the legal ombudsman after a complaint was handled in Newby's fashion by blaming another solicitor ! You couldn't make this up. The office wasn't open during the times it's advised. We were spoken down to, and over all the staff at Guisbrough have been unfriendly, unapproachable, and at times come across as unkind. We're happy to have our sales sorted by a professional solicitor that outshines Newby's in everyway possible. Do not use Newby's and do not use the services of Mrs Alex Owens who is either taking on too much, doesn't know her role and where her duties lie, or just doesn't value properties she deems beneath her worthy of her time and so called commitment to the role. Would not recommend, also had dealing with the Skelton office who seem to employee a rude agent over the phone, shame as one was rather helpful once. Why can't they all follow the same lead.

Newby's have got a number of branches across the Teesside & Cleveland area. Having said that, they come across really strongly as a local company who take pains to get to know each and every client. You're not a number on a file binder, you're a person with genuine needs.
It's kind of reassuring that they've been in business for so long. Their offices in Stockton are old enough for them to have been the original Newby's offices!
