Not even worth the one star! Absolutely do not use these lawyers! I went to see Hannah Bourke with regard to a Will. I was very disappointed with how I was treated and I felt blindsided and powerless as I had paid up front. My Will was very simple and was all listed for her - which I could’ve done on a website - but I went to a lawyer as I wanted some advice with regard to my husband‘s Will. I wanted to know if anything needed to be added into my Will. I then received an email saying I needed to pay an additional £250ph for the advice, but this hadn’t been mentioned before. I didn’t want to pay extra but I was anxious not to have a Will so I said go ahead. I then heard nothing and got fed up waiting so I informed Hannah to cancel it and refund me. But Hannah wanted to charge me the full fee! I was really worrying that I didn’t have a Will so I agreed to the full fee if Hannah sent me the draft that she said she had created. Hannah then informed me that she was unable to do that due to ‘compliance and liability risks’. I was offering to pay in full just for a draft so why wasn’t I entitled to what I’d paid for! To end this I suggested splitting the fee to which Hannah agreed but it wasn’t 50/50 at all as I was charged £424.68 (for nothing) and was reimbursed just £173.96 - my husband said I should officially complain as it had became a point of principal, but it isn’t worth fighting as it would cost me more money and I already had to pay out £450 for another lawyer to complete a Will. However, that lawyer was value for money as they advised me and completed my will without any stress! I wish I had seen Meadow Ryan’s reviews before as I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money!

We used Sarah Ryan as our conveyancer for our house purchase as first time buyers. Despite facing multiple challenges during searches and exchange due to slow responses from other parties, Sarah was nothing but extremely professional. Clearly very experienced with the industry, she was incredibly helpful, proactive, and kept us up-to-date throughout the process.

I was recommended to this solicitor by an estate agent. I went with this solicitor only because they were local to the purchase. I found them very slow and they don't provide you with an on-line portal that you can follow your purchase on, to follow the progress of it. When I mentioned this to my solicitor' dealing with my purchase I didn't get a response from him. When purchasing a house it is good to see the progression of your sale with an on-line portal, so you can see how fast things are moving and if there are any questions you need to raise, otherwise you don't have a foggiest of where your at with your purchase and your left in the dark waiting for for an email or a phone call that doesn't come through. Having things in writing is much better and professional than just talking with your client on the phone, and you also have a paper trial of your purchase. This solicitor really needs to bring this service in and to let their clients follow their progression of their purchase both together. I have returned to my original solicitor' who has always had an on-line portal you can follow and who are really efficient and fast.

Be aware also of hidden 'abortion fees' with this firm, as I pulled out of a 'purchase' and had money on account, but they still charged me £1,000 + VAT for pulling out - (50%)

A house sale took 30 weeks purely on the conveyancing side of things. The national average is around 8-12. Communications were never forthcoming, they had to be chased repeatedly. One particular stand out was Angela Plews who was very unprofessional over the phone in terms of poor attitude and more importantly, out right lied about communications she had received. Email evidence showed she and Adam been contacted, but failed to act and this delayed completion by over a week due to their incompetence. Owning that mistake would have been the integral thing to do, but lying to save face was the option she chose.

If you value speed & professionalism in your property matters, don't go with these guys.
