My father died in 2019 and went to Tina Brown to write his will. I contacted Tina in 2019 to have a copy of the will and she said she cannot give me a copy. I contacted my solicitors who advised I can get a copy when the will ends up in the public domain. My father left me something in his will and till this day, Tina has not reached out to me and it's been more than 3 years. Tina and this firm are supposed to oversee a legal document such as a will!
I sent an email on the 4th November 2022 and I received a failure delivery notice, because this firm has blocked emails coming from gmail via their firewall. My sister forwarded my emails, sent chases and called Tina and she has not responded. Someone from the office left a message for me to email the same email address, after I said in my voice mail that they have blocked gmail.
I tried to contact her office and I went through to her voice mail again and she still hasn't contacted me.

I complained using the online form and asked for the complaint procedure and I never received this. Tina eventually reached out to me to say she has the cheque and some emails do come through, 4 months on I am still chasing her. Her famous line is I work part time (for more than 3 years??). The latest is she’s off sick but never contacted me to say she’s back in the office. I asked her if her availability is that bad (which it is), then why do I need to deal with her. Someone else can do this on her behalf.
Like the rest of the reviews I would not recommend anyone to appoint this firm to write their will or any other service. Your wishes will not be actioned and your loved ones will lose out. Last thing you should be thinking about when the deceased did everything the legal way and paid for this service.

I am not at all surprise with the responses to other reviews 'This is a fake account and I am reporting you to Google'. That comment really goes to show you what type of firm this is, lack of accountability and how incompetent they are. Ownership is required here for the poor service received. A major shake up is needed and a long list of service improvements. I will be taking the matter further with Tina and this firm. I will be reporting them. They shouldn't be providing legal services at all!

BTW this firm can try the threats of fake review and I am reporting because I have the evidence the WILL and all the comms!!!

Zero communication about an on going case, look elsewhere.

Edit : Hilarious they’re calling this review fake, my reference was NEV/DOW014/001and my initial point of email contact was Elaine Niyazi.

For a law firm not to know that a false statement of fact is libel is both sad and a damning inditement of the firm.

I will be reporting this to the SRA as this seems to be a continuing bad faith practice of dealing with any criticism.

Do NOT under any circumstances use this firm if you are looking for a straightforward and professional service. Our experience of McKenzies has been absolutely dire. They do not communicate or respond when you actually 'need' them, lengthen what should be a simple process to the max whilst totting up their own fees. They are rude (to the point of hanging up on you) and extra un helpful should you dare to question their opinion or method of processing. We even ended up having to do the research and provision of information on their behalf, which they neither acknowledged or appreciated.....and they ask for how much per hour? Whatever it is, it's not worth the salt.
One colleague will hide behind the other as they try to divert getting down to the respectable business that a 'proper' solicitor should be doing. It's easy to dismiss people in an abrupt and aloof manner by phone or email and that's exactly what they do.
Please please look elsewhere and don't be fooled by the colourful impressive jargon that they try to pull people in with on their own website. The reality is very different!

I had to fill in 1 star for this review in order for the review to be valid. Google should think about adding 'minus stars'.

They will no doubt try to remove this from the reviews but I shall simply continue putting the same thing back up!

And for response to McKenzies reply below....no you did not represent me, but you represented a woman and spectacularly managed to sabatage the business relationship she had with my partner by frightening her into not contacting my partner without your input. They had been discussing the sale of her property over a period of several months (having had a good relationship over 5 years) and were doing just fine until she needed a solicitor to help her with the legal documentation. The way your solicitors dealt with the situation not only meant the sale not going through but more imprtantly, the destruction of trust and friendship.

I have the correct firm thank you and am entitled to leave a review here.

The service we received from McKenzies Solicitors in Edmonton, London was very good, especially from Mr Nev Niyazi who was excellent.
Mr Niyazi and his colleagues went over and above the call of duty to keep my daughter and I informed and reassured at all times. Mr Niyazi kept us updated with information about the case and was professional, accommodating and always available to speak to when we required assistance.

The Barrister, Kerrie-Ann Rowan who represented us in court that day was amazing and between all of the staff, they got us the result we so desperately needed.

My daughter and I are extremely grateful to McKenzies for their services and would not hesitate in recommending or using them again in the future.
