Awful solicitors. They cost me 2 sales on my property. Both fell through because they can’t do their job. I went back the second time because it was the most straight forward sale as I know the buyers. They pulled out after 8 months, because quite frankly we could have done a better job ourselves. Shame on me for thinking it would be easy and shame on them for doing it to me again! Absolutely appalling.

Used this firm for my no win no fee personal injury claim. Nick Shaw was my solicitor. Made everything very clear and was happy to assist with any questions I had. Was kept up to date with the progress along the way. Was settled after about 12 months for significantly more than I was expecting and while there is the potential for 25% of the settlement to be taken as charges maximum, only 5.7% was actually taken. Was very happy as you can imagine.

Avoid.
Inflated costs. Greedy and downright sneaky!
Invoiced me for £600 without doing any work.

Dad had his will with chapman Willis and rollits. Upon his death we were unsure what we were to do with it.
We asked at reception where we were told that we could have a free 30 mins chat as the wills were done with them.
Had a meeting with the will specialist who said she could do the grant of probate all in for £1750.
Or deal with anything and everything (land registry, pensions etc) for £8000.

After a chat with a financial advisor we knew dad's estate was a very simple one so we were told that we could apply for grant of probate ourselves. (For £300)
We received a contract to sign in the post.
I emailed them to instruct no paid work to be done.
I then received an invoice for £600!
Challenged it via complaints procedure.
Ended up paying £330 to make them go away.

Unhelpful. Unsympathetic. Shocking.

There's solicitors out there that help but it's my experience that these guys are in it just to fleece you. Go elsewhere.

For anyone who is unable to get into contact with this firm you may find this information helpful!!!
After contacting me regarding a debt I owe, I offered to pay the full amount with monthly instalments, after the initial email i got from them 2 months ago I have yet to receive a reply from them regarding the issue, they have since filled a CCJ and send enforcement agents to my home address, they still wont contact me with monthly payment information or even a way to pay them back at all as the payment information provoded by the court on the CCJ is incorrect!!!!! After some investigation, this seems to be a common tactic used by the firm, using the court to apply pressure while cutting communications and letting the intrest rack up and hoping that i leave it aslong as possible to resolve the issue. If your having the same issue as me and still are yet to get a response from them, collect your evidence ( any letters sent, any emails) and contact a solicitor

-10/10 absolute joke of a firm

PS. This company literally couldn't give the court the correct payment information so think twice if your letting this firm handle anything for you!
