I would advise anyone to steer well clear of this place.

Myself and my partner began the process of buying our first house at the beginning of September 2025, we were then told that we were looking to complete early November- this didn't happen. Shortly after this we were getting no responses to our emails, no answer on the phones, it took my partner to actually go to the office in Hinckley to find out that the solicitor we were dealing with, Hollie, had left. We were not once notified of this.

After this our case was then picked up by another Solicitor, Suleman. We were then told we could complete end November/early December - again this did not happen, there were multiple charges found on the sellers side which Hollie never failed to find, luckily Suleman did. Fast forward after Christmas/New Year, we started chasing again as we were still no further forward and still in the dark about when we would be completing to then find out that Suleman had upped and left, again nobody thought to tell us about this we had to contact the office ourselves to find this out - after multiple emails and phone calls when they eventually answered.

Then we got passed over to a locum solicitor, Siobhan, and she was a bit of a breath of fresh air really she pushed it through as soon as she could for us and finally January 2026 we completed.

When we finally completed we were told we would collect our keys from the estate agents - turned out the estate agents didn't have the keys and once again we had to go out of our way to try and resolve this. The seller was still in the property and hadn't even started moving out! We could not go into our property until around 24 hours after the sale had completed! I know this is not Headleys fault however when I did call to say the seller was still there I was told there was nothing they could do and I had to sort it myself - something should have been done as this is a breach of contract!

Overall the standard of service as a whole is absolutely shocking, they are quick enough to take a deposit from you but then take weeks to answer a simple email, do not pick up their phones and do not call back when they say they will. Not worth the stress for something that is meant to be an exciting time for most people.

We had an extremely disappointing experience using Headleys for our first house purchase, and unfortunately we would not recommend them.

We are first-time buyers and were purchasing while caring for our newborn baby, so this should have been an exciting time for us. Instead, the process was filled with poor communication, delays, and ultimately resulted in us having to pull out of a property purchase due to information that should have been identified and explained to us much earlier.

We initially instructed Headleys in June 2025 for a property. Communication was very slow, and after weeks of chasing for updates, we were suddenly informed that the sellers had pulled out with little explanation.

We later instructed them again on a second property. We were told enquiries had been raised but were not allowed to know what they were. We then waited seven weeks for a house report while repeatedly being told updates would arrive “by the end of the week,” which never happened.

During this time, our solicitor left the firm without warning, which caused significant stress and disruption. We also experienced periods where the firm’s phone system was down, leaving us unable to contact anyone.

After eventually being assigned a new solicitor, we personally raised queries about the property. Only then were we provided with previous title documents showing numerous restrictive covenants that had never previously been highlighted to us. Had we not asked questions ourselves, we would not have known about them. Because of this late discovery, we were forced to withdraw from the purchase at the last minute.

The experience caused considerable stress, financial loss, and left us needing to find temporary accommodation while restarting the house buying process.

We also submitted a formal complaint which has still gone unanswered for months, with repeated promises of responses that were not delivered. We have now been waiting three months for a reply to our complaint.

Overall, this was a very upsetting and frustrating experience during what should have been a happy milestone in our lives.

If i could give zero stars, i would.

Were very quick to take a deposit from me, however after hearing the person who was dealing with my conveyancing had left the company - which i did not even find out from Headleys - they are now impossible to contact.

Took nearly 2 weeks from when i found out to get through to them as their phone lines were conveniently out of order, once i managed to get through i could only speak to the receptionist who passed on an email to the relevant people to contact me. 2 weeks later again, and still no communcation. Again, trying to contact them via the number, their phone line is now no longer recognised??

Professionalism at its least.

Stay AWAY! Probably the most unreliable office in the country... they should have their licence removed...nearly loss the sale of my house..Even after having being PROMISED IN PERSON by the SENIOR PARTNER that my case would be handled promptly nothing happened for weeks...fake promise after promise I finally managed to move the case to another law firm who solved it all in 7 days... always had respect for solicitors but certainly not for you know who!

I can honestly say that I was absolutely blown away by Headleys Solicitors!
They were recommend to us by a friend of mine at work who was also in the process of selling his home and buying a new one, he highly rated them.
So thats what I did, I contacted them later that day and never looked back.
Hollie was outstanding for us! I was blown away by how she was constantly on the ball with everything from start to finish!
She was always just an email away, often replying to emails late into the evening.
She always answered any questions / queries in a timely manner and was brilliant at guiding us through the whole process, making us feel at ease throughout.
Having used a couple of different Solicitors in the past, I hadn't had the best experience, constantly having to chase them to send an email to other solicitors, ringing up constantly to try and get them to do things.. but Hollie & Headleys was a breath of fresh air in this regard, Hollie was always one step ahead for us.
I will always recommend Hollie & Headleys Solicitors to anyone! And we will definitely be using them again in the future.
Also a special mention to Nick too as he was also great!
Thank you very much for all your help, support and guidance to help make the sale of our old home and purchase of our new home much less stressful.
