We have now had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Peter North twice as he represented our Freeholder in our purchase of a leasehold and subsequent sale of it 4 years later.

Every interaction with him took so long to receive a reply or deal with, he’d get confused by the actual task at hand and confuse the matter even more, creating unnecessary delays and jeopardising transactions on more than one occasion. More than once, he even confused the sale of our property as a change in rental tenancy and requested information from Our solicitors which had nothing to do with a sale of property.

He often was so rude in dealing with our own conveyancer, that she had to put him on notice and request a more neutral
tone.

One month after exchange, we were called by our freeholders property agent, requesting our buyers contact details because Peter North claims he has no recollection of the sale!

If I could give this firm zero stars I would, but that is a direct representation of our dealings with Peter North and not the rest of the firm.

I had a terrible time using hk law for divorce, it ended up costing me thousands and the solicitor involved didn’t lift a finger, she ended up refusing to represent me in court as I had queried the bill, which was sent to be paid 48 hrs prior to the court date, I had to represent myself in court against ex husbands barrister, how devastating was that. I continued to pay there bill at £1000 per month until I got to the last £1000 and told them I felt physically sick writing the cheque, they said ok, forget it and closed the account. An awful experience which will never leave me, I could not recommend that solicitor for divorce. It’s taken me a long long time to be able to express my opinion. I have since emailed several times as requested, yet still awaiting HKLaw to respond as they said, and nothing… not even an acknowledgment to date 🤷‍♀️ very unprofessional sadly.

I've just used Humphries Kirk for the fourth time, working on conveyancing two properties. Despite it being a complex process due to issues with sewage compliance and boundaries Justin worked tirelessly, keeping us informed throughout the process and managed to complete in time for a very fair price. I would definitely recommend him!

I have recently used Humphries Kirk for the sale of a property, deeds of gift and powers of attorney. I have been very impressed with everyone i have spoken to and communicated with via telephone and email. Lines of communication were always open and any questions were promptly delt with. I used Humphries Kirk in Crewkerne when I sold and purchased my new property. They were fantastic, I was kept up to date with all that was going on and the service was always very professional. The completion was dealt with very promptly with no issues at all and I even got a voucher for money off my Will. I would definitely recommend to others and will most certainly use again.
