I couldn’t recommend this firm of solicitors enough, particularly my solicitor Jason Legg, who facilitated my purchase involving a complex leasehold arrangement in London, as a first time buyer. I was buying my property while working out of the country in a difficult environment and Jason was across every detail, always proactive and communicative, and pushing things forward with the other side who were dragging their heels, to ensure the purchase completed by the time I was moving back to the UK. He always spoke in plain English, talking me through the complexities of the conveyancing involved in my particular purchase clearly, and was always responsive and approachable. I’ll be recommending Jason and this firm to my friends and family. Thank you again, Jason!

Although we were not their clients, we had to suffer the consequences of our buyers using Gould and Swayne for their conveyancing. The process of selling our home took over 8 months due to what we can only describe as incompetence and a total lack of understanding about buying a home on an estate that is not quite completed.

As part of a property transaction that I was purchasing via my company, my lender required that I obtained independent legal advice on the conditions of the mortgage. Having had the appointment with Harriet, my other solicitors dealing with the transaction then informed me that the wrong form had been completed (not Harriet’s fault). I was informed about this a month after we’d sent the document and the afternoon before we were due to complete on the transaction!
I rang Gould and Swayne to explain the situation. They were fantastic, and managed to fit me in the following day so I could still complete on the property on time.
Harriet is very friendly and accommodating - they really helped me out!

I have had many dealings with Gould & Swyane (Wells), usually for conveyancing and commercial leases. I have mostly corresponded with Jason Legg and Gian Floris. Both are knowledgeable and have dealt with matters in a very efficient and timely manner. I find their pricing competitive and will continue to use Gould & Swayne in the future as we have built up a great business relationship.

Shocking. I don't usually leave bad reviews because I don't think it is fair but this company needs to change or fold. Please- if you are a decent person looking for solicitors- avoid at all costs. You will be ignored unless you get the point where you are copying in the MDs so that the people dealing with you are held accountable. Our very simple sale (first time buyers- last owner of house deceased...) took twice as long as it needed to. Lots of undue stress. Tried to send invoices after final bill.
