Julia Brown states in her promotional material that she works to prevent later heartache. However this is contradictory;
After six years of marriage separation and dealings with this legal practice, proceedings are still not complete.
It is a straight forward, non complex divorce. Having being a stay home Mum caring relentlessly for my family for six years previous, I am simple wanting a small amount of savings back, a fair amount for efforts into the home, and a share of pension for that period where I lost opportunity to build my own pension. I do not feel this is much to ask.
For years I have been put through hell by this practice though. I have been endlessly accused of stalling divorce - only for it to now be evidenced that no response was made to myself - therefore the stalemate not my doing. No apology has been given though. And I am still being threatened/ demanded to pay ALL of their clients needless legal costs.
The practice has made endless typo errors, the latest in a child court order. I had to fight to get the typo changed to prevent my children being retained for three weeks. The errors cause endless unnecessary conflict.
Requests for financial declarations have been point blank ignored.
Family Legal is supporting my children being heavily retained despite myself previously holding 60% predominant care, excellent school reports and attendance, false allegations disproved, excellent parenting reports, professional evidence of domestic abuse by their client, non co-parenting professionally stated - the list goes on.
It appears Family Legal are advising to use the children as pawns to gain our family home in full. In the same week of being ordered to finally financially declare (after literally years of requesting), my children were taken by their Dad, with no will or acknowledgement that the case has been determined as a co-parenting issue. The children are being used as strategic fodder for money and to support their clients statement of 'you deserve nothing'?
I am completely exhausted by this legal practice. All I am wanting is to end the marriage, financial settle the small monies involved, and my children recommence the life of good opportunities and warm home they love being part of.
Julia seems determined to drag this family towards a 7th year of hell though. Which has caused huge, unnecessary prolonged high tensions and toxicity. Rather than healthy resolutions.
This practice is not about families. If it were then they wouldn't be putting people and importantly children through this for years on end.
From what I can determine, all they are interested in is bleeding people dry by dragging out cases year, after year, after year. Money over families.
I am sorry Julia if this is not the case. But I think what your practice is doing and supporting is hugely unkind and unethical. And I want to prevent others from suffering the same excessive years of this.
