EVERYS SOLICITORS LLP

Much the same as some of the other reviews, unfortunately Everys were our vendors solicitors so out of our control. The only way to get them to reply to ours was for me to call the estate agent, they call the seller and the seller calls Everys. Every single time. It took 7 attempts on different days to exchange because they said they were ready when they weren’t. It turned out that they had a situation that ment we were never going to exchange or complete when we all thought we were and we had to wait 2 more weeks.

If I could leave no stars I would. Everys Taunton have been nothing but awkward and useless right from the get go of purchasing our house, things would just stop and I was for ever having to contact them to see where we were at and then funny enough we suddenly had some progress briefly until the next call I had to make, they lied to us about certain things being held up by other people and then when we decided to contact the people they were blaming it turned out it was our solicitor that hadn’t even contacted them, on the day of the move our solicitor contacted us to say we had exchanged 4 hours after we picked the keys up from the estate agent and had already completed two van trips to the new house! Then today I find out my name still is not even on the title deeds as everys have not even finished their part and we have been in the house nearly 7 months and yet funny enough they have been paid for their services, I’m absolutely fed up with the way they do business and will be glad when it’s all done. I’d recommend going anywhere else but here.

UPDATE- Even on day of completion with 4 working days notice they are holding things up. They refused to set an exchange date and instead said they wantes to do everything on the same day. They are now sat on a very simple undertaking and nothing is moving forwards. I have been at their complete mercy for this entire experience and they couldn't care less. Please Everys just do your job and get this done, you have put us through enough.

I have had an absolutely abysmal experience as someone who is trying to buy a house. Everys are the solicitor for the vendors. The process has taken 7 months and we have blown through 4 suggested exchange and completion dates spanning 3 months. It was a difficult purchase with a solar lease that needed to be amended. This took a lot of time but at every stage, Everys have made no attempt to chase things up or move things along I'm a timely way. We have emailed and called with weeks at a time where we get no response from them. Often the only way things move forwards are when the estate agent directly contacts the vendors to chase or I have dealt directly with the solar company. It has been awful with everything left to the last minute, no clarity and no security that the end is in sight.
There has been a seeming lack of interest from Everys in communicating, being clear or working proactively and it has been a horrible experience for my children and I who have been in temporary accommodation for nearly 4 months while this has dragged on.

We worked with Every’s for the purchase of our first home, they had excellent communication, documentation and support with everything we needed.
10/10 highly recommend.

We have just gone through a traumatic and very long experience buying a property. Kerry Raines at Everys could not have been more helpful and sympathetic, and I can’t recommend her enough. It’s always a stressful time, but I found Everys excellent.
