⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Outstanding representation from Caveat Solicitors in West London. My case was dismissed and all charges were withdrawn. Wesley-Ann Carnegie and James Liasis were supportive, professional and highly responsive throughout. Mr Samrat Sengupta’s advocacy in court was excellent and instrumental in achieving the successful outcome. Highly recommended.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Caveat Solicitors, and especially to Sabiha Khatun, for their outstanding service and dedication.

Sabiha handled my daughter’s application with exceptional professionalism, care, and attention to detail. She was highly responsive, proactive, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Her ability to manage complex situations with precision and clarity gave us great confidence and peace of mind.

I have also referred many people to her, and every single one has received the same high standard of service. She consistently goes above and beyond for her clients, showing genuine commitment and integrity in her work.

I truly appreciate her hard work and would highly recommend Sabiha Khatun and Caveat Solicitors to anyone seeking reliable and expert legal support.

I've known Sabiha for over 10 years now, she has been nothing short of amazing. She represented me on my application. She explained the process and was very supportive during the whole process and it was very successful.
She has a lot of experience, she is very knowledgeable and her charges are very reasonable.
I have referred several friends and family members .to her and no one has a bad word to say because she always works hard for.her clients and gets results.

CoComplaint and Request for Accountability

My experience with Caveat Solicitors and James Liasis was deeply disappointing and caused me serious financial, health, and personal harm.

During the representation, I encountered repeated professional issues that raise serious concerns about competence and client care.

In particular:

I was advised to provide my signature in a manner that involved editing or modifying images of my signature, as the solicitor stated he could not properly use the electronic signature system. I refused, as this appeared inappropriate and potentially unlawful.

I was repeatedly asked to resend the same evidence multiple times, despite having already provided it, which demonstrated a lack of effective case management.

I was left without access to my mobile phone for an extended period, which directly resulted in me spending a night outside without money or shelter. This posed a serious risk to my health and safety.

The solicitor was fully aware that I am a foreign national with no family support in the UK and that I suffer from a serious respiratory disability, yet no adequate safeguards or consideration were shown.

Despite claims that the case was “trial ready,” I was required to repeatedly chase information, clarify basic matters, and correct errors that should have been handled by my legal representative.

Statements suggesting that I simply “failed to attend” are misleading. My absence was due to serious family medical circumstances, which were known at the time, combined with the cumulative impact of the professional failures described above.

This review reflects my genuine experience. The matters described are documented and supported by written correspondence. Formal complaints to the relevant professional bodies are being prepared.

P.S. : Evidence of lawyer’s recommendation to manipulate signature and unprofessional conduct:

The lawyer with a bachelor’s degree, James Liasis, gave instructions that amount to a suggestion to manipulate or falsify a signature:

“There are other options;
You can print it off sign it and take a picture of it to send back;
You can screenshot it and then edit the image by drawing your signature on it also, then send it back.”

I have already sent the document with a secure electronic signature, as well as medical records from Latvia. However, the lawyer refuses to accept them, apparently because he does not know how to use basic tools such as an electronic signature.

I will soon provide evidence of how they interfered with the witness by repeatedly asking for the same facts. This also demonstrates irresponsible and unprofessional conduct.

I can provide many more pieces of evidence showing how he interfered with my daughter by assigning tasks that were not her responsibility, but his. Additionally, he did not properly record the PIN code and later asked my daughter for it when he accessed my Google account without my permission. This is a serious violation.

EVIDENCE 1 : The promised evidence is provided below. I will begin with clear documentary evidence that my lawyer encouraged irregular and legally questionable signing practices.

The attached images show that James Liasis explicitly advised me to alter a document by digitally inserting or editing my signature, including by screenshotting the document and drawing the signature onto the image. Such instructions constitute encouragement to manipulate a signature image rather than to use a secure and legally valid electronic signature.

This raises serious concerns regarding document integrity, potential misrepresentation, and the risk of compromising the authenticity of legal documents.

This advice was given despite the fact that I had already submitted the document properly executed with a secure electronic signature.

Encouraging a client to alter or recreate a signature image instead of relying on a legally recognized electronic signature demonstrates highly irregular professional conduct and a disregard for proper legal standards.
