Very poor communication - they don't do email only faxes. Not very helpful and not up to the modern way of customer service (very abrupt). Very unsympathetic to a simple error which was then used to extract a significant sum of money from me and my family in order to remedy.

Incredibly poor service. These ‘solicitors’ have dragged their heels over a family estate matter for years, with no end in sight.
Judging by the other reviews on here it seems that we are not alone. They have turned not responding to emails, phone calls, letters and faxes into an art form. Avoid if at all possible.

The service that I received from this firm was diabolical. For example I rang to speak to Mr Devile, he was not available, I left a message. I rang again because he did not return my call only to be told to leave my contact details again, even though the receptionist acknowledged that she has spoken to me earlier in the day - what did they do? Throw my contact details in the bin? This scenario occured on a number of occasions.
The service was slow (non existent), even to the point where the other parties solicitor was complaining,
They do not respond to phone calls, email, or to letters.
They have not not removed a charge that was against the property that acted for me on, even though I have chased them several times (with no response on each occasion).
Basically, this firm was (and still is) the cause of my stress and I paid them for that pleasure!
They still (after 6 months and several chasers) have not provided the removed the charge that I paid them to remove and did not have the courtesy to acknowledge or respond to a formal complaint letter.
Dear, oh dear,,,

My father died 3 years ago and at the request of my mum i needed only to get a certified copy of his will. I spent 5 weeks chasing, leaving numerous messages of which no one even had the common courtesy to return my calls. Today i spent an hour to drive the 40 miles to their office to deal with something that took 10 mins of their time. They are a disgrace to their profession.

I have only given this solicitor one star because you can't give zero. If you value your time and money find another solicitor. They are very slow and old school, don't communicate via email or text or fax. If you look around you will find someone at a much much more reasonable rate who will do a quicker better job.
