Terrible experience - 7 months down the line of a property sale and it's no closer to ending! Not sure what I'm paying for, but it's not a good service at all. My Case Manager is Charlotte. Don't think I've ever spoken to her on the phone, always passed to her secretary. She's always not working or on annual leave (which everyone's entitled to), however, I never get advance notice of this or communication on an update of my file, so every time I try to get progress on my property I can never speak to anyone because she's always unavailable, causing longer delays.

It's clear they don't chase other parties as it can be 3 - 4 weeks of no communication before I call and they haven't got an update because they haven't spoken to the other parties.

I was mis-led to believe I had a cash buyer who was ready to move in the property straight away with no affect of a chain sale - this was October 2024. March 2025 she's now telling me I'm in a long chain and there's no sight of completion because people in the chain's mortgage offers are expiring because it's taking so long - for what reason!!!!!

I've tried escalating to the 'owners' which they too don't get back to you, and seem completely disinterested in my supporting my file. Been told a few times "we'll get back to you", and they never have. They're all just as useless!!!

My complaint highlights the lack of communication and updates from the solicitor. I appreciate issues within the chain are out of your control but, as I stated, I was mis-led I had a cash buyer for 5 months. Communication to clients need to be better and proactive, rather than them having to call up and chase 24.7.
I had a phone call with a partner in this firm escalating my concerns, and their response was "I don't have a crystal ball" when I was trying to get to the bottom of delays on my case. My experience is correct and your ignorance to feedback is extremely rude and clearly highlights the sheer lack of care you have for clients. Absolutely disgusting.
