I had the misfortune of dealing with a particular solicitor here on several occasions. I appointed them as the conveyancer to purchase a house and was later asked for an extortionate additional fee becuase it was not registered with the land registry, something which another solicitor has since said they would not have charged extra for becuase the additional work is negligible.

2 years later, when I sold the same house, the buyers appointed the same solicitor to convey the purchase. On this occasion, the solicitor started flagging up issues with the title which they had registered! And then identified several rights of access issues which they had failed to identify when appointed to buy the house 2 years earlier.

I would recommend to look elsewhere for solicitors.

I contacted this firm due to seeing the good reviews. The quote came through very quickly which was great so I called the office to ask a few questions. The lady on the phone was rude and didn’t have great customer service skills at all! Due to this I have proceeded with a different firm.
