If you are leaving money in your will to friends and relatives do not use these solicitors. Do not use them as executors.Your friends and relatives will have died before they see any legacy you have left them.A snail could move faster !

I’m writing this a few years after the traumatic experience.
Very distressing time, lack of communication
and empathy
Everything was eventually sorted, but not in the profesional way that I would have expected.
Wouldn’t use them ever again.

Despite my best intentions I regret the day i contacted BG solicitors, they were enlisted to speed the process of power of attourney in December 2022, POA was finally sorted May 2024.
i found their service diabolical , from start to finish, i suggest you do your research before appointing them , i wish i had !

I've waited over a year to write this review as the experience and service from the branch in Barton impacted my mental health to such an extent.
Executors of a family members Will, it was meant to be handled by an identified partner but transferred from Grimsby to Barton. Excessive fee considering living partner collated all the information.
Wrong advice given in respect of trust money.
Slow to process the paperwork, poor communication in light of a family member contesting Will. And 'person' who was executoring Will, when monies were due to be paid, didn't return call and went on holiday!
By this point I just wanted it to end, nearly a year on, family divided and my Grandfather would have be furious and appalled at the service he had received from a family friends firm.
It was finally settled by a solicitor in the Grimsby Branch who completed it within 24 hours and appeared to understand the level of distress the experience had caused.
