We recently used Beswicks for our property sale and purchase. Right from the initial stages, Afy and the team provided an outstanding service. Afy kept us up to date at all times, always on hand to take a call, ensuring we understood every stage. We hit a few issues along the way but Afy handled them as quickly and calmly as possible, ensuring what can be a very stressful time, was made more manageable and relaxed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Beswicks team.

We experienced a great deal of problems on the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one and Afy was brilliant, guiding us carefully through and helping us to complete the process as easily as possible, dealing with Historic Register and our builders on highly contentious issues. At times it became quite stressful and he made sure we were looked after properly. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We used beswicks to purchase a property. We were luckily appointed Afy to deal with the process. He was very thorough and explained everything clearly he even picked up on things we didn't expect and helped us through the purchase. We recommend Beswicks and essentially Afy. Thank you.

I instructed Beswicks Solicitors during what was one of the most difficult periods of my life, dealing with family and financial matters while on a low income, with no savings, and having disclosed a disability that affects my cognition and communication.
Between April and October, fees accrued to just under £10,000, close to half of my annual income at the time. I cleared each bill as quickly as I was able, despite losing two jobs and my home during the process, all of which the firm was aware of.
When I requested a final bill, I reasonably believed this would show the total amount outstanding. Instead, I was later faced with further charges and, two days before Christmas, warned that the matter would be passed to debt recovery over an amount representing less than 10% of the overall fees I had already paid.
I do not dispute the firm’s right to charge for work done. My disappointment lies in the lack of clarity, empathy, and tact shown in how this was handled, particularly given my circumstances and the vulnerability I had made them aware of from the outset.
Legal services are often accessed at times of crisis. I believe clients, especially those on low incomes or with additional needs, deserve clearer communication and a more human approach.

We used Beswicks for the purchase of our first home, and Jaeda and the team were fantastic. They were quick to respond to any queries, kept us informed throughout the process, and explained everything clearly. We couldn’t have asked for better support, and we’ll definitely return if we need their services in the future!
