Excellent and professional service. I sold my house through them last year and it went extremely smoothly. This year I purchased a property through modern method auction for the first time and was nervous about the completion deadline, however Acklam Bond fulfilled their promise. Their response to queries was quick and they picked up the telephone immediately. I would certainly use them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They contacted me yesterday via email (6 months after I moved house) to say they had made an error in charging and expected me to cover the additional cost of their error. I've just got off the phone to Louise who had a very bad attitude - her exact words were "everybody makes mistakes" and when I advised that we usually don't expect others to pay for our mistakes, she replied "well most people do".

Disgusting attitude - be VERY aware before deciding to use this solicitor, who knows what they'll decide to charge me more for next!

***Edited to respond to below - I have never said that I had any issues with the service during my purchase - the problems arose afterwards when I was asked for more money despite receiving and paying the final bill. Nowhere in my review did I say I was unhappy during the purchase. What you are failing to remember or mention (of course) is the attitude of the member of staff who I spoke to during this issue, again, as outlined in my review. I stated to you via email that I would consider removing my review if the member of staff apologised for her attitude, which she didn't. So the review stays.

Furthermore, I never provided you with any "incorrect information" - it was your own staff who made the mistake with the fee because you didn't change it on your system when my first purchase fell through. That's not incorrect information from me - that is a mistake on YOUR behalf. Unfortunately I am not blessed with the ability to update your computer system when things change, as they so often do with property purchases. May I draw attention to the email response from yourselves where you agree the fault lies with you for not updating your information correctly. All your response has served to do is make you look even more dishonest and incompetent. Hopefully, people will take this interaction into consideration when selecting a conveyancing solicitor in future.
