I would give this branch a minus 10/10* if I could but unfortunately this option is not available on Google reviews. We are currently involved in a repossession purchase in Strood, Kent, and the level of incompetence from the Newcastle conveyancing team has been staggering. Despite our solicitor (KLR) making repeated attempts to progress the case, requests for callbacks regarding exchange and completion go completely ignored. Even the estate agents (Mann) have hit a brick wall. To make matters worse, they seem to have a 'Friday rule' where they refuse contact from their own client (the sellers).
This lack of urgency and professionalism is actively stalling our transaction. Extremely frustrated and would not recommend them!

I would give zero stars if possible. I re-mortgaged through Nat West on the 15th of January 2022 and they assigned Aberdeen Considine to do the conveyancing. After 2 weeks I received a pack with forms to fill in which I completed and sent back within 48 hours. I never heard anything for weeks so tried contacting them but could not get through. I emailed them but all I got back was an automatic response. I contacted Nat West to try to sort it out but they weren't much help either to be honest. After 7 months of going back and forth I finally got through to them. They said they requested a redemption figure from my existing lender but got no response so they just put my file to one side and left it. I had to ring my existing lender to send them the figure so I could complete. AC are an absolute shower, do not use them!!!

Awful, we are brokers and use online conveyancing firms regularly. There are many firms like this who provide legal service for re-mortgage clients. Some are better than others and most you can get through to for case updates etc, unless its Aberdeen Considine in which case you may as well not bother. Main tel no for Newcastle office no longer works but hasn't been updated on Google. If you call specific number for the lender team, you are transferred to office in Scotland who advise you they cannot handle the call and provide alternative telephone number which is either; never answered or hangs up after certain number of rings. We get they are busy, we are all busy, but if we treated customers in the way this company does, we wouldn't be trading for long. We are not calling to be a nuisance, we are trying to meet client needs for completion prior to expiry of a mortgage offer, conveyancing firms don't seem to put any value into opening up good comms with interested parties, which in the long run would smooth the way for swifter completions of re-mortgages and mean less phone calls, so they can get on with the job in hand - there must be a better way surely?

Dont really need to give a review after reading the other reviews. I'd give them a 0 star if it was possible. 5 months to complete a remortgage with them, they promised us that we'd have the money by the start of June. Its the start of August now and there's no sign. We've probably rang around 50 times to either get no answer, hung up on, blatantly lied to (they told 11 days ago we'd have the money within 3 days, still no sign) then lied to again, phones hung up on us mid conversation. Absolutely awful service without them showing a glimmer of embarrassment. Please avoid like the plague.

Never use this company! I have been an estate agent for over 12 years and I have never dealt with such an appalling set of solicitors. We have a vulnerable adult waiting to move into a property we are buying and we have been going through a re mortgage with these solicitors for nearly 7 months, they never answer the phone, they say they reply to emails with three hours, they have never replied to one of my emails. They need to understand, this effects people's lives, we have some people near on homeless because of this companies incompetence! Please do not use this company.
