We are currently selling my dad's house and unfortunately our experience with solicitor Sophie Shepherd has been very disappointing.

Communication has been poor throughout the process. It is extremely difficult to get hold of her, and when we call, messages are often left without a timely response. Selling a property is stressful enough without having to constantly chase your solicitor for updates.

What makes this even more frustrating is that their fees are higher than many other solicitors in the area, yet the level of service has not reflected the premium price. We expected proactive communication, regular updates, and accessibility when issues arose, but that has not been our experience.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend this firm if you value good communication and customer service during a property sale.

Throughout the process, communication was poor and the overall approach felt far from professional. Matters that should have been straightforward were unnecessarily delayed, estate funds were not released in a timely manner despite being available. This caused avoidable stress and frustration for our family during what was already a difficult time.
In particular, there were outstanding payments that were not dealt with promptly, which raised serious concerns about how the estate was being managed.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm and would strongly advise others to consider alternative solicitors.

I was extremely disappointed with the service from Temperley Taylor, specifically Lesley Curran, during the sale of my property. Lesley acted for both myself and my ex-wife, and the process was unnecessarily slow and frustrating from start to finish.

I had to constantly chase progress by email and phone, as communication was vague, infrequent, and often unprofessional in tone. Important updates were not proactively shared, and it regularly felt like no action was taken unless I pushed for it. I also felt judged throughout the process, both by Lesley and her secretary. The secretary’s manner came across as rude and dismissive, with a very off-putting tone. Overall, there was a clear lack of interest and professionalism, and dealing with Temperley Taylor felt like pulling teeth.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm at all. If I could give zero stars, I would.. AVOID!

I have had experience on the children section with Debra. I can assure you her service is not the best. You are forever chasing for answers and progress of a case. When you pay a small fortune you expect professional advice and kept up to date. An example a court hearing was issued to there office and took 24 hours to inform leaving even less notice. If you have a medical issue you won't get any care here. She sells a rolls Royce and gives you a Robin reliant. Please take this advice and find someone who is willing to give you a professional service.

I used Temperley Taylor to carry out conveyancing for the sale of my property and purchase of the new one in Feb. Lauren was fantastic. The process was complicated by delays and pressure from the sellers of our new property but Lauren was always helpful whenever I rang. She even allowed me to drop off forms in the evening and processed things in a tight turnaround, to make things as stress free as possible. Thanks very much
