We have recently used the Wolverhampton Office of My Law Matters for the Sale of a Family Property. They continually proved very difficult to deal with, incurred numerous delays throughout the process, didn't accept criticism or recognise own fault, charged us additional fees for checking an indemnity policy that wasn't ours, made numerous schoolboy errors during the preparation & checking of legal documentation but worst of all & without realising it themselves…committed a 3rd Party GDPR Data Breach during the final settlement process!
Stay clear unless you can handle a fight or want things to go smoothly.

DO NOT USE! AKA now as My Law Matters (MLM) since Mr Fentiman retired and sold up. This firm is now totally unprofessional, arrogant, rude and ineffective. They cannot be trusted to carry out even basic legal work so AVOID at all costs. Our complaints were ignored but after taking this law firm to the Legal Ombudsman, who agreed with every one of our nine complaints submitted that service levels had been unreasonable, I feel totally justified in leaving this scathing review. Would give them 0 if rating allowed!

Fentiman’s in knowle Used to be an amazing law company.
Now:
We have tried for nearly 2 years to get our deeds
Impossible. We’ve even asked another solicitor to try! Once again impossible. It’s shameful. and extremely stressful especially when they tell you they have been disposed of deeds they were supposed to look after ( depending who you speak to) even though they contain share certificates. . Especially stressful for my aged mother.
Extremely worrying when we have POE and Wills with them. I’ve never come across such shambolic mess. They ignore every email and every phone call.

Avoid this outfit. They are incredibly slow to do anything and do not resond when chased up to be asked what is happening. They took over 2 weeks to give the file to someone on a basic conveyance and then after that if we could get through to somebody it is a different person each time. They are not interested in the client's requirements and not bothered if their delays cause the transaction to fall through which in this case it may well. Please read the other more recent reviews here and on on trust pilot. I would not even give them 1 star if that were possible.

⭐ 1/5 - Extremely Poor Service & Communication
I had a highly disappointing experience with My Law Matters during my property purchase. Despite being promised clear timelines, my transaction was significantly delayed, with little to no proactive updates. I had to chase them repeatedly for responses, often receiving vague, unhelpful replies. Even after all enquiries were resolved, they failed to progress my purchase for weeks, causing unnecessary stress and frustration.
Basic tasks like handling fixtures and fittings requests were mismanaged, and their overall lack of urgency made the process much more difficult than it needed to be. Their customer service was poor, and they did not take accountability when I raised a formal complaint.
I would not recommend My Law Matters if you value efficiency, communication, and professionalism. Avoid if you want a smooth conveyancing process!
