I had a very poor experience with Napthens Solicitors, particularly with the conveyancing service handled by Sally Calvert, during what was already a stressful buying and selling process.

Communication was disappointing throughout. When we asked for basic updates on our matter, we felt we were met with threats of additional charges rather than helpful support or clear communication. Buying and selling a home is stressful enough without feeling like you are being penalised for simply asking where things stand.

The most frustrating part was after our purchase fell through. We were told that we would have to pay all over again for both a new purchase and our existing sale, even though only the purchase had fallen through and the sale was still the same transaction. This felt unfair and unreasonable, especially as we were already around £3,000 down with nothing to show for it.

Despite the circumstances, there was no offer of a reduced rate for the new purchase or any meaningful goodwill gesture. Instead, it felt like we were simply expected to start again financially, even though the existing sale was still ongoing.

Overall, the service felt poor, unhelpful and lacking in care at a time when we needed clear guidance and support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Napthens for conveyancing.
