This law firm accepted my case via CourtNav. When I applied, I clearly requested reasonable adjustments, explaining that phone calls are stressful for me and that I preferred communication by email.

They emailed to acknowledge my difficulty but stated they still needed to speak by phone and asked me to suggest suitable times. I provided several time slots, but they did not confirm when they would call. Instead, they called without notice. During that call, they asked whether I needed help with my application, despite the fact that my application and supporting documents had already been fully completed and submitted on CourtNav.

I was then told they would call me back to assess my case — something that should have been done before accepting it. The following day, they called again to say they would not be able to assist “in April.” This wording was misleading and led me to believe my application had already been filed with the court.

I asked what would happen next and whether my case would be returned to CourtNav so it could be rematched with another firm. I was told they were “not in charge of CourtNav” and did not know.

I waited for over two weeks for court correspondence, only to later discover — after logging into my CourtNav account — that my case was still marked as being under this firm’s review. Despite calling and emailing, the issue was not promptly resolved. I ultimately had to contact CourtNav myself to fix the situation.

This procedural failure delayed my application and deprived me of the opportunity to secure legal support during a time-sensitive process. Given the impact and the lack of care shown, this experience was shockingly unacceptable.
