Boys and Maughan LLP

These were solictors of our sellers. There communication was non existent half the time. My solictors even received emails from them stating they cannot answer queries as the leave the office at 5 despite having the email since lunch time. Their work ethic is atrocious and the time keeping is also poor. If you want the sale to go through in less than 6 months then don’t bother using them!

I have used Boys and Maughan, but never again. In my experience, the service simply wasn't good enough because of a number of issues. Unfortunately, the possibility of taking a complaint further than their internal complaints process is not realistic for most people, me included.

We cannot thank our Boys and Maughan Canterbury office enough for the outstanding service we received, and in particular, Gemma has been absolutely amazing. Our house sale was completed in just 9 weeks — or effectively 7 working weeks due to Christmas, which is truly incredible and far beyond what we expected.

Although Graham was our named solicitor, Gemma handled almost everything from start to finish, and she did so with incredible efficiency, professionalism, and care. Her communication was excellent, always prompt, clear, fast and reassuring and she made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward.

Gemma went above and beyond at every stage, chasing progress, keeping us informed, and ensuring nothing was delayed. Her dedication and attention to detail made all the difference, and we genuinely believe the speed and success of our sale are largely thanks to her hard work.

This company represented the buyers of our house. Thank goodness they were not our solicitors ! They were so slow at replying to our solicitors. We had been ready for weeks and numerous exchange dates were proposed with no response. Paperwork had not been completed on time. Nothing was emailed it was all sent by post ! No updates or communication which made it so difficult to plan. My solicitor, estate agent and myself were all pulling our hair out because of the lack of communication. Graham Tong seems to have adopted very old school methods which do not work in today’s world. Avoid at all costs. If these are your buyers solicitors be ready for it to take weeks and weeks to complete. Numerous turn around in staff recently has obviously added to the incompetence of this company.
