I had a workplace accident just over two years ago … right under the CCTV , with additional photographic evidence AND witness statements to corroborate.
I started the process with this company shortly after that accident …
Just today they email me saying their barrister “ didn’t think we’ll win “ !!
In this email …They got my job description wrong , they got the cause of the accident wrong , the didn’t appear to have read the witness reports and obviously haven’t looked at descriptions or photographs …
Throughout the case so far I have constantly questioned the timeframes , suggested I change solicitors and chased up every single communication ( they have NEVER contacted me first ) and now this ?
It appears to me that they only run with easy wins where you have provided all the evidence and done all the work .
My advice is to avoid them at all costs , two years wasted for me.
My company even retired me on ill health due to the accident !!!

Slow, tardy, incompetent claims handler. Staff are either incompetent or if decent leave the company quickly. Not sure who gives them advice on how to proceed, of course they like claims where liability is accepted easy pickings, but anything where claim denied, they re generally uninterested. All they re doing is sending a claim form to an insurer, how difficult is it the injury protocols could do with them being simpler and more transparent, especially insurers that deny liability and then spend aeons with a decision. I wouldn't recommend S&G to anyone. I'd happily pay 30% plus other insurance/disbursements than give case this big but incompetent firm. Oh and their Customer services is the worst ever, ditto their complaint process usually written by a sworn insider late on Friday evenings with the usual findings of: nope, we didn't do any of this, we are great, and we will improve. The firm has faced a re a lot of questions in the past from regulators and government for questionable practices.
