Absolutely terrible Service regarding Rentals. We have an Excellent Rental History of over 3 years documented History with BIG agents as in HUNTERS and JR HOPPERS including Excellent landlord references. We had sent documented Bank Statements showing more than enough income. We are now in our 50's, no children, non smokers and excessively clean people. Full UK citizens all our lives both working full time.
I am a Professional Landscape Designer having my own company for over 30 years. My partner is a well respected Head Veterinary nurse of over 40 years with degrees in Animal behaviour and has held positions as Clinical Manager in various Practises across the United Kingdom caring for animals.
Despite all this excellent history and being accepted for over 3 years by well established agencies we are unaccepted by this company. We had 2 viewings, meeting both of our new potential Landladies who couldn't sing our praises enough. Saying we could pay and move in immediately, who are now left with no income. Due to this we are now left HOMELESS and have no choice but to use all of our savings for the foreseeable future costing us over £2,000.00 pcm in Holiday Rentals. Properties we were looking at are less than £1,100 pcm.
These agents would not even approach the Landladies nor give us the opportunity to explain our situation! Leaving us both now suffering with depression and fear of the future! The suggestion from Poole Townsend agents was to go work in Hospitality at minimum wage and better prove your income, shocking!

This morning I received a text message reminding me I had a viewing that day. I duly went to the viewing and waited outside the property in torrential rain for 15 minutes. I rang the office to see where the agent was. Oh it's ok they'll be on their way we know you have a viewing they said. Another 15 minutes passed and I rang again as the agent still hadn't turned up. They said they would phone the agent and ring me back. They rang back to say Sorry the viewing has been cancelled as the owner has accepted an offer!! How about letting me know not sending text messages to confirm the viewing. It seems the news hadn't gone round the office that the property had sold said the woman on the phone. I had presumed they had computers. The inefficiency was astounding and then to find out the property went for less than the asking price. I had already decided to offer over the asking price. Then to add insult to injury I had to lose out financially as well as I had to cancel a work appointment. To say I'm angry is an understatement.

As a landlord, staff are friendly and helpful. They manage properties extremely well with regular inspections and quick responses to emails and actioning tenants requests for work that needs doing promptly. Would recommend them to anyone for buying, selling and renting.
