Sometimes, things don't go as they should, but how we deal with that makes all the difference.

The purchase of our house has been wrought with issues. Molesworths was the second solicitor we appointed as conveyancer for this transaction, after the first one went out of business unexpectedly.
So, the pressure was on for us to complete by a deadline.

Of course, Murphy's Law required that things would not go smoothly. After great initial contact, we ran into radio silence, weeks passed with requests for an update unanswered. I do not know the reason for this, and I'm not about to speculate, nor will I point fingers at individuals, because everybody we dealt with has been professional, friendly and courteous throughout, and apologetic without outright admitting fault (they are, after all, legal professionals) once we finally 'reconnected'.

Sadly, by then we chased and waited so long that the deadline on our offer was almost here, and our mortgage offer had expired.

Being ready to give up on this property, I put in a complaint and demanded a refund for payments to date. I did not get a refund but I can truly say I could not be happier with the response from Molesworths.
They did what I considered no longer possible; They dealt with our mortgage lender to get a grace period extension and got everything sorted out and filed to complete within the deadline.

Today, they have informed me that we have completed. And so, I end where I began: Sometimes things go wrong. And that's ok. It is how we deal with our errors that makes all the difference and Molesworth has dealt with this in such a way that I will happily use them again (albeit hopefully with less deadline stress!).

I would like to thank Faiza for her very professional work whilst dealing with a probate matter on my mother's behalf. Faiza kept us up to date with all details regarding the matter. Faiza is very personable and i would have no hesitation recommending Molesworths and in particular Faiza to anyone requiring legal advice.
