I have used CKE law for a number of years now for a multitude of issues / cases, which have all been a huge success thanks to the team behind CKE. They always deliver to the highest standards and communicate every part of the process, where needed, so somebody like me can understand what’s going on and stay in the loop.

Very disappointed with the service. My mum and dad applied for a will via the will aid scheme, they have supplied all documents for Id and completed will questionnaire. However although I have emailed them multiple times to chase up since this was submitted in August I've received no reply. Have tried calling too but can never get through to the lady dealing with the case and when I go through to reception get told I'll be called back but that never happens. We are at a loss as to what to do why offer the will aid scheme if they have no interest in actually following it through for customers

Charles Edwards and CK Law are not to be trusted. They make grand promises but fail to deliver.

When I approached Charles Edwards for a family case, he shared a story about entering law due to the poor practices of other firms and his father being a victim of exorbitant hourly rates with little return.

Charles’ unique selling point was a single upfront cost, regardless of how long the case takes. This is false. He frequently returns with additional charges.

Charles presents himself as a smooth operator, but if you have substantial disposable income, his approach might appeal to you. However, this mentality is a double-edged sword.

When things go wrong, you cannot rely on him. Ensure that his written agreements match his verbal promises.

I intend to escalate my complaint amidst the legal turmoil of my divorce and child access case.

Charles can be dangerous as in my case not only will he drain your finances, but you may end up handling the case yourself. He can severely damage your case if you’re not careful.

This review reflects my experience with Charles Edwards. If you choose to hire him despite this review, ensure all amendments to the original agreement are in writing before paying more money. Also, reconsider the wisdom of upfront payments.

Once fully paid, he loses motivation to give you his full attention as in my case. It might sound cheaper the way he pitches it, but is it really?

If you've had a bad experience with an hourly solicitor, don't make the mistake of jumping from the frying pan into the fire with this one.

Having received the information this week that my trial had been thrown out of court and no case to further answer after many years of a grey cloud hanging over me I wanted time to reflect but now am ready to leave a review that highlights my personal experience.

From the outset the senior practising Charles was approachable, matter of fact in terms of what we was facing whilst at all times dealing with the case in the sensitive manner that was needed whilst also being empathetic.

The team he employed to manage my case was outstanding including the Barrister on board who we are lucky CKE has a professional relationship with.

At time I lost my head as the saying goes but all Charles ever said was stay in touch and talk to me, don’t panic or go under and we will get through.

And get through we did. I couldn’t be more thankful or recommend this guy or his company enough.

Knowing the result we got from where we started is a testimonial to his excellence.
