I used Engleharts to provide conveyancing services for a residential property purchase. 90% of my dealings were with Daisy Rice, a conveyancing solicitor, and 10% with Darcy O’Brien. I didn’t deal with anyone else at Engleharts at all. I never visited, this was all done remotely by email, post and WhatsApp (with Daisy). I chose Daisy because she specifically was recommended to me by someone else who had used her before.

I am very happy to give five stars to Daisy and Darcy! My purchase was slightly unusual insofar as that, in addition to buying a freehold house, I was also buying a plot with planning permission for development and so this required a licence for the architectural plans and assignment of the Section 106 and Community Infrastructure levies, amongst some other specifics. Daisy dealt with everything very smoothly and in a way that was clear and easy to understand.

Daisy works unusual hours (early mornings, late afternoons and evenings) which initially surprised me, but when she explained that she has childcare commitments, this made perfect sense, and she was always quick to reply to messages and to progress things. It’s great to have a solicitor who is friendly, professional, timely and whom you can trust to look out for your interests. I would have no hesitation in recommending her and I would use her again on my next transaction.

I cannot recommend Mark Westwood enough for all the support he gave my partner and I in our first house purchase. We had some very tight deadlines and he did a remarkable job to get all the searches completed on time!

He explained everything very clearly (including all the exchanges he was having with the seller's solicitors), responded promptly to our emails and calls, sent all the documentation for our review and really reassured us in this rather complicated process (a rarity to find from horror stories you hear of other people's experiences with solicitors!)
