Tried calling to instruct. Someone picked up after a long ringing session and then hung up on me. This happened 3 times! Don’t they want new customers?

Disgraceful experience with DF Legal Solicitors.
The staff were rude, obnoxious, and appeared to have a poor understanding of the law. Even worse, they refused to take any responsibility for their own mistakes. I was personally a witness on the other end of the phone to what my daughter experienced and heard the entire conversation as it unfolded.
The situation began with the receptionist, who gave incorrect legal advice and then prevented my daughter from accessing information relating to her own property. Instead of correcting the error, both staff members involved focused solely on my daughter becoming understandably upset and frustrated. After repeatedly trying to remain calm and polite while not being listened to, she expressed her frustration, which is understandable given the treatment she received.
It is important to note that my daughter spoke with several other members of staff throughout the same day and had no issues whatsoever. This clearly demonstrates that the issue did not stem from my daughter’s behaviour, but from the receptionist providing incorrect legal advice and displaying an inappropriate attitude. In addition, my daughter had contacted the firm seven days earlier regarding the same matter and did not receive a return call, like they said they would, which is why she contacted them again.
Following this, my daughter received an email from a solicitor that was both unprofessional and rude. It is completely unacceptable for a solicitor to allow their staff to speak to paying clients in this manner and then attempt to deflect blame rather than address the original wrongdoing.
My daughter would not feel able to write this review herself due to the position she has been put in. As I directly witnessed and heard the entire interaction, I am writing this review as something clearly needs to be done about the conduct displayed. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy shown throughout.
Judging by other reviews, this behaviour is clearly not an isolated incident. This is disgraceful . I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this firm.

Disgusting behavior and a disgrace of a business, let alone a professional service.
DF Legal have been handling my grandfather's probate, as executors, for over 3.5 years and have still not completed it. They are not responding to multiple emails and letters and not returning 100's of calls (literally 2 or more calls a week to their offices) with only secretaries answering to say someone will call back - which of course does not happen, despite being given set times and dates that the return call can often be expected!
My mother is unable to grieve due to the ongoing stress and still cannot sell my grandfathers property, which in the time since his death, is now totaling £10,000's in maintenance charges and other costs she must pay.
We are told that David Ferraby himself is handling the case, which shows you that this establishment is rotten to the core.
It seems we are left with no option but to commence legal action against them.

The house we brought, the seller used the Stroud branch as their solicitors to handle the conveyancing. Honestly if you have to engage with this branch be prepared for your purchase to take a VERY long time.
They do not get back to your solicitor even if it weeks go by. Even if you they are contacted by your chosen solicitor or the sellers own solicitor. They will simply get it to it when it suits them.
We even went as far to offer The seller who we were buying the house from to change solicitors and we would pay for it was that bad.
We went to put in a formal complaint in until we found the boss of the terrible solicitor was his wife! And the staff member we spoke to about the complaint was very frosty and this is why!
Do not use unless you have a lot patience and time as it will make your purchase or selling a dreadful experience with a LOT of extra added stress.
We used a fantastic company who were brilliant so do your research. The challenge we had was the seller had already chosen.
Be warned and good luck!!! You will need it.

For my business, they were fantastic. Incredibly helpful, polite, and professional.
