I was incredibly clear about what wording I needed on a document (one sentence) to send to The Land Registry. When I arrived at the Okehampton office I was informed by Jade that she couldn’t write the exact words and had to change submitted to posted. I knew this wasn’t going to be accepted. She then suggested I went on the Land registry site myself. I explained that wasn’t a good option. She then offered to do it for me personally but had to wait on the phone to them (of course). To then discover that she couldn’t do it at all. So not only had she wasted my time but then suggested that she had done an hours work for free and it was my fault. You truly couldn’t make it up. She then suggested very officiously that I “leave the office” sadly confirming my view that she has made a mistake and was now trying to blame me.

Not good enough. In fact outright shameful to treat anyone like this. High handed, far more important and of course, always right. Not in this case you weren’t Jade Payne. Sometimes it is good in business to be gracious and humble. A terrible experience.
